چکیده

Computing optical flow is one of the most fundamental problem to the motion image analysis. Many methods have been proposed for comput.ing opt#ical flow! among them gradient.-based methods arc t,he most well-known and most used. In the paper, a new gradient-based method for the computation of optical flow is proposed. In this method, opt.ical flow is computed by minimizing a weight,cd leastsquares error estimator for a constant motion vcct,or model in a local spatial neighborhood, where the weight of each image location in the neighborhood is det, ermined by its multiple constraints. Several experimcnt,s on real and synthet,ic image sequences have been carried out to verify the efficacy and the reliabilit,y of the new method.

تحلیل حرکت جریانات دریائی در تصاویر حرارتی سطح آب دریا

Oceanographic images obtained from environmental satellites by a wide range of sensors allow characterizing natural phenomena through different physical measurements. For instance Sea Surface Temperature (SST) images, altimetry data and ocean color data can be used for characterizing currents and vortex structures in the ocean. The purpose of this thesis is to derive a relatively complete frame...

Quantitative Color Optical Flow

Abstract We perform a qualitative and quantitative analysis of various multi-frame color optical flow methods for synthetic and real panning and zooming image sequences. We show that optical flow accuracy improvement can be slightly improved if color images are available instead of gray value or saturation images. We show the usefulness of a directional regularization constraint for computing o...

Pseudo Zernike Moment-based Multi-frame Super Resolution

The goal of multi-frame Super Resolution (SR) is to fuse multiple Low Resolution (LR) images to produce one High Resolution (HR) image. The major challenge of classic SR approaches is accurate motion estimation between the frames. To handle this challenge, fuzzy motion estimation method has been proposed that replaces value of each pixel using the weighted averaging all its neighboring pixels i...

Cloth Motion from Optical Flow

This paper presents an algorithm for capturing the motion of deformable surfaces, in particular textured cloth. In a calibrated multi-camera setup, the optical flow between consecutive video frames is determined and 3D scene flow is computed. We use a deformable surface model with constraints for vertex distances and curvature to increase the robustness of the optical flow measurements. Trackin...

Multi-channel Combined Local Global Optical Flow Approach Using Photometric Invariants

Abstract A fundamental problem in the processing of image sequences is the measurement of optical flow (or image velocity). The goal is to compute an approximation to the 2-D motion field – which is the projection of the 3-D velocities of surface points onto the imaging surface – from spatiotemporal patterns of image intensity. Optical flow techniques can be classified into local approaches whi...
